Smaile Makeover

According to a research study completed by Orbit Complete, 69% of people find women more attractive when they smile than when they are wearing make-up. A person’s smile is so important as it is often the first thing that we notice about a person, and as smiles can be spotted from 300 feet away, it is the most easily recognisable facial expression. That’s why we feel it is important to feel confident and happy with your smile. If you are not keen on your smile or feel embarrassed to smile fully, you don’t have to suffer in silence.

There are many dental treatments to choose from, which can improve your smile. There are options that can either totally transform your teeth or just make a small change. Veneers

If you have any tooth discoloration or slightly crooked teeth or your teeth are a slightly different size or shape to the rest, dental veneers could be the solution. Veneers are thin covers, which are placed directly over the tooth or teeth. The procedure quickly and simply changes the appearance of the smile. The veneer will be colour-matched to the rest of your teeth so that it blends in beautifully with the existing ones. Often the process can take just one or two dental appointments and if there is minimal enamel removed, can be completed without the need for injections.

Whilst veneers can get chipped by very hard foods, such as bones, ice, etc, a well looked after veneer can last for many years and sometimes a lifetime.

Stain Removal

If you want to have a stain-free smile, then air polishing is a great option. It is pain-free and comfortable and is achievable in a single visit. A steady stream of pressurised bicarbonate soda is combined with stain removing particles and water to remove surface stains. This precedes a special polish using a diamond-based polishing paste to provide the teeth with an extra shine. This treatment is very popular and is great for revitalising your smile with minimal fuss and treatment time.

Dental Bonding

If you are conscious of gaps between your teeth or want to improve the shape or colour of your teeth, dental bonding could be the answer. Cosmetic dental bonding involves your dentist using composite resin to re-contour your teeth. The composite is colour-matched to your natural teeth. It can usually be completed in one dental appointment and the procedure is safe, effective, and painless.

Dental bonding can last for between 2-4 years. It is usually a cheaper procedure than veneers, but it depends on what needs to be achieved as to whether this would be the correct treatment for you. Your dentist will be able to advise you after your free consultation. There is no need for injections or filing down of the teeth.

Teeth Whitening

This dental treatment is comfortable, convenient, and gives noticeable results from the first application. A brighter, whiter smile can increase your confidence and even make you look healthier and more youthful.

Over time our teeth naturally darken. This happens with age but also our lifestyle choices, such as drinking tea and coffee or red wine, smoking, and even taking certain medications. These can all take their toll on your teeth. However carefully you clean and take care of your teeth, these built-in stains won’t shift, this is where teeth whitening comes into play.

There are many whitening options now on the market. Chairside teeth whitening is seen to be the most effective and powerful with more intense results in a quicker time. Home whitening kits can also be used and at your own convenience.

For chairside whitening, we prepare the gums, so they are protected, and then apply a special bleach to the teeth and use a UV light to whiten them. The process takes around one hour, and the results will be instant.

If you decide home whitening is more convenient for you, then impressions of your teeth will be taken, and a custom-made tray will be made. You will be provided with instructions on how to use the bleaching gel with your tooth trays at home. You will need to wear them regularly for 30–60-minute periods over several weeks.
